Derby City Gangs Advisory Group

The Derby City Gangs Advisory Group was formed as a result of a fatal shooting in Derby. The individuals who now form the management committee were directly involved in the community and provided a great deal of support not only to the community, but also the families and young people deeply affected following this tragic incident.

We provide advice and assistance to the partnership of the Police and the multi agency gangs team. Working together on local issues to prevent the escalation of gang related activity in the city of Derby, the groups role extends to engaging with the hard to reach community acting as a 'critical friend'.
